Most domestic sewing machines are low shank. To determine if yours is, with the foot down, measure the distance from the centre of the screw hold where the presser foot attaches to the foot plate. If this is half an inch it’s a low shank machine. If it’s one inch, that’s a high shank machine and this free foot won’t work with it.
